Competition

In 2005, The House for an Art Lover invited proposals from artists and architects under Speculative Architecture, a competition intended to stimulate innovative ideas for events or experiences in Bellahouston Park. The backbone of the competition was a broader initiative to designate Bellahouston as Art Park Glasgow, to expand the collection of art based installations in the park and stimulate a broader public awareness of new forms of artistic expression, horticulture and the external environment.

One of the ideas submitted by ZM Architecture was for new garden spaces and a gateway pavilion around the Victorian walled garden.
